There's a bunch of crazy insects here that I've never heard of or seen back home in the NW. Here's an ichneumon wasp I found in our driveway.

The ichneumon wasp uses those extendo stinger-looking things to drill INTO TREES and lay eggs on wood-boring larvae of other insect species. Nature rocks.
